Radio Frequency Party Line Sometimes known as (RFPL), wireless intercom allows the intercom user(s) to communicate on single or multiple channels of intercom channels without the use of a cabled belt pack. Wireless intercom allows expanded travel and communication range for the users.
Multiple channels of communications and auxiliary audio can be interfaced within the base station to provide additional communication and cuing requirements.
Base stations can be linked to provide more than the standard 4 to 6 users per base. The latest versions of wireless intercom offer options such as multiple users to share channels or users to roam between base stations.
Outboard antenna systems can often enhance coverage and reduce noise concerns. RF combiners are often used to use a minimum amount of antennas for multiple RFPL systems.
Wireless intercoms use low power, multiple frequencies in the VHF/UHF, 900, 1.92GHz ISM, and 2.4GHz ISM band radio to allow duplex intercom operation.
